In this interview, Zubaidah Chowdhury (JS Scholar 2018) talks to Human Rights Lawyer and Professor Chaumtoli Huq about the ongoing Rohingya Refugee crisis and how it relates to issues of genocide, women's rights, and human rights generally, both internationally and locally.
Prof Huq is a practicing human rights lawyer, Associate Law Professor at the CUNY School of Law and the founding editor of the progressive non-profit publication Law at the Margins. Having been a staunch advocate for human rights throughout her life, she has served as the Director of the first South Asian Workers’ Rights Project at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund.
